Institutions using Schoology Learning; the learning management system from PowerSchool, can add Snapplify directly from the App Center. Snapplify Engage integrates using the LTI 1.3 standard. Once set up, students and educators can access Engage or open content in the Snapplify Reader directly within Schoology.
Step 1: Activating your Snapplify App in Schoology
- To locate Snapplify, navigate to your App Center and use the category "technology" filters.
- Scroll to the bottom, and you'll see the Snapplify Engage icon.
- Select the Snapplify Engage icon to install your LTI 1.3 app and locate all necessary API information for integration.
- Retrieve your OAuth information and keep this safe for later steps
- Next, Install the LTI 1.3 App
- Select "Agree" and "Continue" on the respective pop up boxes
- Choose the "Add to organisation" option
- A new window will provide your deployment ID; hold onto this for step 2.
Step 2: Set up a new Integration in Engage
Retrieve your platform details from Apps > Manage LTI in Engage
Follow the steps to set up LTI integrations
Step 3: Use Snapplify in PowerSchool
Once the tool is added:
- You can link to Snapplify directly in assignments or courses.
- Use deep links to send students to specific collections or books.
- Students will be logged in automatically and taken to the correct content.
Optional: Add Direct Links
- Use links from Snapplify Engage to specific library sections or content.
- Paste these into your PowerSchool course pages or announcements.
