Once you've installed the Snapplify Reader app, you can set your ebooks, audiobooks, and resources to be downloaded automatically. This means that once you've checked out digital content from your Engage library, or purchased content via Engage or the Snapplify Shop, these items will be downloaded immediately on logging in to the reader app.
You’ll need to be connected to the internet for the download to happen automatically. But, once downloaded, you can open and use your digital content wherever you are, without an internet connection.
To automatically download your ebooks, audiobooks, and resources in the Snapplify Reader app, follow the instructions for your specific device:
iOS and Android
- Log in to the reader app with the same account details that you use to check out or purchase digital content, then tap the hamburger menu icon (which displays as three horizontal lines) to expand the navigation.
- Tap 'Settings'.
- In the Downloads section of the Settings page, enable the toggle switch to allow the app to automatically download new content.
- When you log in to the Snapplify Reader app again after checking out or purchasing digital content, you will be prompted to download your books automatically, in which case, tap 'Yes'.
Your ebooks, audiobooks, and resources will be downloaded to the reader app once you're logged in.
Windows and macOS
- Log in to the reader app with the same account details that you use to check out or purchase digital content, then click 'Settings' in the navigation.
- A pop-up opens. In the Downloads section, tick the checkbox to allow the app to automatically download new content.
- The next time you log in to the Snapplify Reader app after checking out or purchasing digital content, you will be prompted to download your books automatically, in which case, click 'Yes'.
Your ebooks, audiobooks, and resources will be downloaded to the reader app once you're logged in.
