Before considering uninstalling or reinstalling the Snapplify Reader app, contact our support team at help@snapplify.com for troubleshooting assistance. Uninstalling is only recommended in specific situations, such as selling your device or resolving rare installation issues.

If you are facing issues with the Snapplify Reader, such as difficulties downloading ebooks, please contact our support team at help@snapplify.com before attempting to uninstall the app. Uninstalling should not be your first step.


For iOS or Android Snapplify Reader applications, follow your device’s standard uninstall procedure.


For Windows and macOS, follow the instructions below.


Windows

When you uninstall the Windows reader from your device, it does not remove the user data from your hard drive, so to uninstall completely:

  1. Uninstall Snapplify Desktop Reader via Control Panel by clicking on ‘Uninstall a Program’, finding the Snapplify Reader, and clicking on ‘Uninstall’.
  2. Then, open File Explorer or My Computer and navigate to C:\Users\Your User\
  3. In the folder listed in step 2, there should be a folder called 'AppData'. (Note: This is normally a hidden file so by default it won't appear. To see how to unhide please see the next step.)
  4. To unhide the files and folders, go to the top toolbar of File Explorer and select 'View'. Once the toolbar has expanded, tick the box that reads 'Hidden Items'. Your 'AppData' folder should now be visible.
  5. Go into the 'AppData' folder and then into 'Local' folder ( C:\Users\Your User\AppData\Local ).
  6. There will be a folder named 'Snapplify'. Delete this entire folder.
  7. To ensure that you remove Snapplify entirely from your device, go to your Recycle Bin and remove the Snapplify folder.

macOS

Note: Simply moving the Snapplify Reader to your Trash will not fully remove the application from macOS. Follow the steps below to completely remove all files

  1. Open Finder
  2. Click Go 
  3. Type in ~/Library/application-support and hit Enter
  4. In the library folder, select 'Application Support'.
  5. Move the Snapplify Reader folder to your Trash.
  6. Empty your Trash.


Once the above steps are completed, please sign in to the Snapplify Reader, download, and open your books.

If you intend to reinstall the app, visit getsnapplify.com to download the latest version. After downloading and reinstalling the Snapplify Reader app, sign in to access your digital bookshelf.
